$100K Powerball winner hits big at Lackawanna gas station

Gas station ticket in Archbald hits $100K in Powerball drawing

ARCHBALD, PA – A Powerball ticket sold at a Lackawanna County gas station is now worth $100,000 after Saturday’s historic $1.787 billion drawing, with the player matching five numbers and activating the Power Play feature.

The winning ticket was purchased at Archbald Foodmart, located at 202 Betty Street in Archbald Boro. It matched four of the five white balls and the red Powerball, which would normally yield a $50,000 prize. But with the player selecting the $1 Power Play option — and the multiplier hitting 2X — the prize was doubled to $100,000.

The winning numbers drawn Saturday night were 11, 23, 44, 61, 62, with a red Powerball of 17. The ticket was one of three in Pennsylvania to hit the $100,000 tier in the September 6 drawing.

Archbald Foodmart will also receive a $500 bonus for selling the winning ticket.

The ticket has not yet been claimed. Winners in Pennsylvania have one year from the drawing date to come forward. All physical tickets should be signed immediately to protect against loss or theft.
