17-Year-Old Armed Robber Arrested In D.C.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – A juvenile suspect has been apprehended by detectives from the Washington, D.C. Metro Police Department in connection with an armed robbery that took place on November 16th in Northeast, D.C.

The incident occurred at around 3:49 p.m. in the 500 block of 55th Street, where the suspect confronted the victim. During this encounter, the suspect produced a handgun and demanded the victim’s cell phone. After the victim complied with the demand, the suspect took the cell phone and fled the scene.

Yesterday, a 17-year-old male from Northeast D.C. was arrested. He has been charged with Armed Robbery involving the use of a firearm. The arrest marks a significant development in the ongoing efforts of the Metropolitan Police Department to address armed robberies in the area.
