17-Year-Old Charged with Attempted Murder and Armed Robbery

CHICAGO, IL — A 17-year-old male has been charged with attempted murder and armed robbery after being arrested on July 5 in the 1800 block of S. Komensky Ave.

The juvenile offender is accused of shooting and injuring a 19-year-old female on June 16 around 1:10 p.m. after forcefully taking her property in the 3900 block of W. 21st Street. The charges include one felony count of attempted first-degree murder and one felony count of armed robbery with discharge of a firearm causing bodily harm.

The detention hearing is scheduled for July 6 at 2600 S. California. Further details are currently unavailable.
