Powerball ticket sold at Dublin 7-Eleven still unclaimed
DUBLIN, VA — Someone who bought a Powerball ticket at a 7-Eleven in Pulaski County is now a millionaire — if they can find their ticket and claim it in time. A ticket sold for Wednesday night’s drawing matched five of the six winning numbers, earning a $1 million prize.
The ticket was purchased at the 7-Eleven located at 4625 Cleburne Boulevard in Dublin. It matched the white ball numbers 29, 39, 43, 51, and 65 — missing only the red Powerball number, 23.
According to the Virginia Lottery, this was the only ticket sold in Virginia to match the first five numbers for the November 12 drawing, and one of just two nationwide to do so. No one matched all six numbers, which means the jackpot rolls to an estimated $546 million for Saturday’s drawing.
Whoever holds the winning ticket has 180 days from the date of the drawing to claim the prize. The Virginia Lottery urges the winner to sign the back of the ticket immediately to establish ownership before contacting the Lottery to begin the claims process.
As a bonus for selling the million-dollar ticket, the 7-Eleven will receive a $10,000 retailer incentive from the Virginia Lottery.
All Virginia Lottery profits benefit K-12 education. Last fiscal year, Pulaski County received over $4.5 million in Lottery funding for schools. Statewide, the Lottery generated more than $901 million for education in Fiscal Year 2025, accounting for roughly 10% of Virginia’s public school budget.
Powerball is drawn three times a week — Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday — at 10:59 p.m. The odds of winning the jackpot by matching all six numbers are 1 in 292.2 million. The overall odds of winning any Powerball prize are 1 in 25.
