TRENTON-The fall travel softball season in New Jersey heated up quickly this year after the Jersey Outlaws 18u defeated the NJ Sparks Elite softball team with an extra-innings walk off base hit to end the game.

With no outs and the score tied 2-2 with runners on 2nd and 3rd, Emily Spencer hit a groundball to left, scoring Alyssa Costello giving the Outlaws the win and the tournament trophy.

Makenzie Edwards pitched six innings for the Outlaws, giving up 2 runs and Spencer got the relief win, pitching the 7th and 8th innings, striking out 3.

After giving up two runs in the first two innings, Sparks pitching shut down the Outlaws for the next five innings.
