Jackson “Luring” Incident Just a Miscommunication


JACKSON TOWNSHIP,NJ-The community was on edge Friday after the report of a child trying to be picked up at her bus stop by a stranger. It turns out that it was Lyft driver who was hired by the family to pick up the child.

Accorcing to police here, On Friday, November 30, 2018, Officers of this agency continued their investigation of the suspicious person reported at the bus stop in the Colonial Arms Apartment Complex. After reviewing video surveillance footage, they were able to identify a resident of the complex that had contact with the driver of the vehicle in question. Upon interviewing the resident, it was determined that the suspect was a Lyft driver that was sent to pick her up. After conferring will all parties, it was determined it was a misunderstanding.”
