Police Arrest Two in Toms River Drug Deal

TOMS RIVER-Detectives from the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office Narcotics Strike Force were conducting a street level drug suppression detail in the area of Hospital Dr. in Toms River, when they observed two individuals engaged in suspicious activity indicative of an illegal drug sale. Strike Force Detectives approached the two individuals who were identified as David Jannarone, age 49, of Toms River and Paul T. Kulberda, age 37, of Ocean Gate. As a result of the Strike Force Detective’s interaction with both men, a quantity of prescription drugs, specifically Adderall and Suboxone were seized. Both men were arrested and transported to the Toms River Police Department for processing. Arrested and charged were:

David Jannarone was charged with Distribution of a Controlled Dangerous Substance (Adderall) in violation of N.J.S.A. 2C: 35-5b, Possession with the Intent to Distribute a Controlled Dangerous Substance in violation of N.J.S.A. 2C: 35-5b, Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance in violation of N.J.S.A. 2C:35-10a(1), Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance in violation of N.J.S.A. 2C:35-10a(1) and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia in violation of N.J.S.A. 2C: 36-2. Jannarone was released on a summons pending a future court date.

Paul Kulberda was charged with Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance (Adderall) in violation of N.J.S.A 2C:35-10a(1). Kulberda was released on a summons pending a future court date.
