149 Dead in Ocean County As COVID-19 Cases Still Increasing; 149 Dead

TOMS RIVER-A weekend downturn in COVID-19 cases in Ocean County could have been just that. With Passover and Easter on Saturday and Sunday respectively, there was a drop in reported cases this past weekend. Today, the numbers began climbing again. Lakewood continues to lead Ocean County with 1,117 confirmed cases. Toms River has 670 and Brick Township has 463 positives.

Three more towns entered the triple-digit range, Barnegat (119), Stafford (119) and Lacey (107). Ocean County ranks 8th in the state in COVID-19 deaths with 149 confirmed deaths.

There are now 68,824 confirmed COVID-19 cases in New Jersey.
