Lacey Resident Victim of Amazon Credit Fraud

LACEY TOWNSHIP, NJ – On Friday, June 26, 2020, at 1:32 p.m., Officer Michael Hutman took an initial report from a Forked River resident pertaining to fraud. The victim reported that she recently received a text message confirming her Amazon credit card application. The victim, who did not make the application, discovered that an unknown resident of Port Reading, New Jersey was added to the Amazon account and applied for the credit card.
