Woman Struck by Car, Killed in Worcester

WORCESTER, MA – On Thursday, October 29, 2020, at approximately 6:57 AM Worcester Police Crash Reconstruction Team was activated after a report of two pedestrians struck in the vicinity of 560 Southwest Cutoff (Wendy’s Restaurant).  The two victims, later identified as a 25-year-old female and a 30-year old male both of Worcester were rushed to a local hospital suffering from serious injuries. While being treated at the hospital, the female victim succumbed to her injuries sustained in the crash.  The male victim was treated for non-life threatening injuries.

The preliminary investigation reveals that the operator of 2011 Jeep Wrangler was approaching the area of 560 Southwest Cutoff when the pedestrians were struck. The pedestrians were crossing four lanes of traffic from the south side of the street. The vehicle struck the pedestrians in the inside travel lane to Wendy’s. The operator of the vehicle was identified as a 45-year-old male of Plymouth.
