Jermaine Jackson Wanted for Murder in Daytona Beach

The Daytona Beach Police Department (DBPD) is conducting a homicide investigation after a man was found dead inside a business Wednesday morning.  911 calls were received at 10:32 a.m. in reference to a person shot inside 822 Dr. Mary McLeod Bethune Blvd.  The suspect has been identified as Jermaine Antone Jackson.
Upon arrival, officers found the adult male victim inside the business, suffering from gunshot wounds to the upper body area. The victim had passed away by the time officers arrived on scene.
The investigation revealed that the victim arrived in a vehicle near the business. The victim exited the passenger side of the vehicle and entered the business where the suspect was. The victim and suspect got into an altercation. The suspect shot the victim multiple times, striking him in the upper body area. The suspect then exited the business and fled the scene on foot northward to an unknown location prior to police arrival. The suspect and victim are known to each other. There is a warrant for 2nd Degree Murder for Jackson for this incident.
At this time, this incident is not connected to other recent incidents. This is an isolated incident as we continue to ensure the safety of our residents and visitors of the City of Daytona Beach.
