AVON PARK, FL – On Friday, December 4, at approximately 9:00 am, the Highlands County Sheriff’s Office responded to a residence that was shot multiple times. Deputies responded to 400 East Canfield in Avon Park and determined the residence was unoccupied during the incident and no one was hurt. The Criminal Investigations Unit and Crime Scene responded and it is currently an active investigation at this time.
