COLUMBUS, OH – The city of Columbus, Ohio has a murder problem. On Friday, the 155th homicide of the year occurred inside the Barclay Square apartment complex. According to police here, on Friday at 11:58 pm, Columbus Police Officers responded to the area of 2885 Barclay Sq. S. on a shooting.
Upon arrival, officers were able to locate two victims that were suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. Victim, John Doe #1, who has not been identified at this time, was transported to a local hospital in critical condition. Victim #1 later succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased at 12:30 am. Victim, John Doe #2 has not been identified at this time, and injuries are unknown at the present time. Suspect, John Doe #3, was transported to a local hospital in stable condition. Suspect #3 is expected to recover from his injuries.
Investigators are still attempting to locate the person of interest and gather additional information. Victim/Suspect information will be released once positive identification and Next of Kin notifications are made.
