Dr. Anthony Fauci, 79, America’s leading government official on the COVID-19 virus said for the first time in his life, he will not be seeing his children for Christmas and you should do the same.
Fauci who has three adult daughters, Megan, Alison and Jennifer said he will not be seeing them for Christmas for the first time since they were born. Fauci had no problems of course being around members of the Trump administration these past few months, but of course, that’s neither here nor there.
“I’m going to be with my wife — period,” Fauci said in an interview with the Washington Post. “The Christmas holiday is a special holiday for us because Christmas Eve is my birthday. And Christmas Day is Christmas Day. And they are not going to come home, that’s painful. We don’t like that. But that’s just one of the things you’re going to have to accept as we go through this unprecedented challenging time.”
Fauci said keeping your kids away will stop them from bringing the deadly COVID-19 virus into your home for the holiday season.
“Make the choice and keep yourself and your family healthy so that you’ll have many more Christmases ahead of you,”
In fact, stay away from anyone and everyone, unless you absolutely have to, because this is a Christmas that will not be like any before it.
“Stay at home as much as you can, keep your interactions to the extent possible to members of the same household,” he added. “This cannot be business as usual this Christmas because we’re already in a very difficult situation, and we’re going to make it worse if we don’t do something about it.”
Fauci did not say whether or not you can throw out the first pitch in a Major League Baseball game this holiday season, but he probably does admit, that’s not his area of expertise.
