Fire at Allentown Burger King Saturday Night

ALLENTOWN, PA – The Burger King in Allentown, Pennsylvania at 1958 South 4th Street was the scene of a fire Saturday night.  According to the Allentown Fire Department, the restaurant had a fire showing from the roof area. Crews entered the building and found the active fire throughout the hood system above the food prep area. Crews utilized dry chem extinguishers to extinguish the fire in the hood area and stack going to roof exhaust. Firefighters were deployed to the roof and began to pull apart the exhaust vent.  There were pockets of fire located in roof area around the duct. Firefighters were able to cut away the roof decking in that area and extinguished the remaining fire with a handline.  Photo by Allentown Fire Department.
