WASHINGTON, DC – The halls of Congress are starting to feel a lot more like the hallways in a twentieth-century teenage high school movie. Earlier this week, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez ran through the halls yelling “Ted Cruz wants to kill me” and on Friday, Congresswoman Cori Bush said she asked to move her office away from Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene because, well, “She was bothering me”.
The incident happened after the two engaged in a verbal argument inside the U.S. Capitol. The fight was caught on video.
Maybe what the U.S. Capitol needs is some more hall monitors, a guidance counselor and a principal and not a barbed wire perimeter fence.
Also, like in high school, the event played out later on Twitter.
“A maskless Marjorie Taylor Greene & her staff berated me in a hallway. She targeted me & others on social media. I’m moving my office away from hers for my team’s safety. I’ve called for the expulsion of members who incited the insurrection from Day 1. Bring H.Res 25 to a vote,” Bush said.
“Rep. @CoriBush is the leader of the St. Louis Black Lives Matter terrorist mob who trespassed into a gated neighborhood to threaten the lives of the McCloskey’s. She is lying to you. She berated me. Maybe Rep. Bush didn’t realize I was live on video, but I have the receipt,” Greene responded on Twitter. “Same, @CoriBush. You should stop yelling and attacking people. No surprise you joined @JoyAnnReid, she enjoys lying too!”

Later, Bush said she thinks Greene might walk into her office and kill her.
I didn't move my office out of fear.
I moved my office because I’m here to do a job for the people of St. Louis.
