29-Year-Old shot dead on streets of New Haven last week, died in hospital

NEW HAVEN, CT – A man shot last week has been pronounced deceased. New Haven Police Department Major Crimes detectives are investigating the man’s death as a homicide. The fatal shooting happened Monday, January 25, 2021. New Haven resident Joseph Vincent Mattei, age 29, was shot on Plymouth Street at Lamberton Street. The victim had remained hospitalized until his death Friday, January 29.
