Sheriff’s Officer lays down in the gutter to rescue adorably cute kitten as water was rising quickly

JACKSONVILLE, FL – Jacksonville has had its share of danger in 2021, but for Sheriff’s officers in the community, there’s always time for old-fashioned police work from a kinder and more gentler time.  On Saturday JSDO Zone 6 Officers Renner and Baker responded to a call about a kitten stuck in a drain.  After searching every drain in the area, they located this little cutie. The kitten appeared to be in distress and the water was rising. Officer Renner lowered a small trash can into the drain and was able to pull the kitten to safety. Officer Baker now has a new partner and has given the kitten a safe home.
