PECOS, TX – COVID-19 has brought many technical difficulties in the workplace, in school and now in court after a lawyer in Texas showed up for Zoom court as a cat. Judge Roy Ferguson of Texas couldn’t get the trial started before attorney Rod Ponton removed his cat filter. Ponton struggled to turn off the filter.
“I’m here live, I’m not a cat,” Ponton told Judge Ferguson.
“I can see that,” the judge said. The embarrassing episode occurred on Tuesday.
Ponton is the town attorney for Pecos, Texas and the town had the following to say of the purringly embarrassing encounter, “Town of Pecos City wishes everyone a Great Wednesday. No matter what the situation, be like our very own City Attorney Rod Ponton and be ready to move forward!”

Judge Ferguson later issued a public service message.
