COLUMBUS, OH – Police in Columbus are searching for the person of interest identified above in relation to a murder that took place near East Livingston and South Nelson Wednesday night.
On Wednesday, April 7, 2021, at 9:04pm, Columbus Police officers were called to E Livingston Ave. & S Nelson Rd. on a report of a shooting. Upon arrival, officers found 33-year-old Nerico James suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. James was pronounced deceased at 9:10pm.
What precipitated the shooting is still under investigation.
