MATAWAN, NJ – A winning ticket was sold on Friday in Matawan at the local Quick Chek. The tier three winning ticket was on of nearly two dozen winners in last week’s Mega Millions lottery in New Jersey, but no jackpot winners were announced. The main prize in that lottery is now $220 million.

There was one third-tier prizewinning ticket sold for the Friday, April 9, drawing that matched four of the five white balls and the Gold Mega Ball drawn winning the $10,000 prize.
That ticket was purchased at Quick Chek #79, 1 Cliffwood Rd., Matawan in Monmouth County. In addition to the third-tier prize won, 20 players matched four of the five white balls drawn making each ticket worth $500. One of those tickets was purchased with the Megaplier option, multiplying the prize to $1,000.
Moreover, 34,866 other New Jersey players took home $132,250 in prizes ranging from $2 to $400. The winning numbers for the Friday, April 9, drawing were: 22, 26, 27, 58, and 66. The Gold Mega Ball was 12, and the Megaplier Multiplier was 02.
