JONESBORO, GA – On April 22, 2021, at approximately 2233 hours, Clayton County Police Officers were dispatched to the 6000 block of Tara Bouleveard in reference to a person hit by a vehicle. Upon arrival, officers learned a verbal altercation occurred between three juvenile employees of the incident location and the customer in drive thru line.
Officers were able to view video footage showing the three juveniles exiting the establishment to engage in an argument with the suspect, Chelyria M. Palmer, 36. The footage then showed the juvenile victims walking away from the vehicle.
As the juvenile victims were walking away, suspect Palmer drove her vehicle onto the curb of the business, striking the juveniles. One juvenile was transported to a local hospital due to injuries. Suspect Palmer was taken into custody for Aggravated Assault.
