Catholic school teacher, track coach charged for having sex with student, 15

HARRISON COUNTY, OH – Corissa McCalister, a teacher at the Steubenville Catholic Central High School and track coach was arrested on Friday by the Harrison County Sheriff’s Office after having sex with one of her students and players.

She was charged by Prosecutor Lauren Knight with two counts of sexual battery. She has since been placed on administrative leave by the school. The encounter happened after McCalister, 21, drove the 15-year-old male student home from a track meet.

“I am deeply saddened by news of the allegations and I offer my prayers for healing for the victim and the victim’s family as well as the Catholic Central school community,”  Steubenville Bishop Jeffrey Monforton said.
