Man passing bad checks at Columbus car dealers caught

COLUMBUS, OH – This afternoon, April 26, 2021, 27-year-old Saianand Nanduri, wanted for Grand Theft of a Motor Vehicle, was arrested in Heath by the Heath Ohio Police Department.

Nanduri is believed to have targeted 6 Central Ohio car dealerships in the past 8 months with bad checks.Today Nanduri was arrested for committing that same crime.

“Saianand Nanduri buys cars that sell for $50,000 to $80,000 and writes the dealership a check. The dealership finds out, days later, there are no funds. Nanduri either crashes the vehicle or dumps it,” said Det. Beard.
