FREDERICK, MD – On April 26, Celestino Lopez-Aguilar was arrested by the Frederick Police Department and charged with three counts of Sex Abuse of a Minor: House/Family and seven counts of Sex Abuse of a Minor Continuing Course of Conduct. The victim was 6 years old when the alleged charges began. Following his arrest, an Immigration And Customs Enforcement (ICE) detainer was placed on Lopez-Aguilar through the 287(g) program at the Frederick County Adult Detention Center.

Lopez-Aguilar received a bond review before a District Court Judge for these charges and was subsequently released from custody on a $50,000 unsecured bond.

Lopez-Aguilar was then transferred into the custody of ICE.

“This is a perfect example of how the 287(g) program kept this individual charged with multiple counts of Sex Abuse of a Minor in custody and not back out in the community,” the Frederick County Sheriff’s Office said.
