A video by Josette Lata this afternoon showed a funnel cloud over the Barnegat Bay. A passing storm earlier today brought rain and some hail in the area. The waterspout did not make landfall.
The Seaside Park Volunteer Fire Company captured the event from the other side of the bay.
In the last 30 minutes a water spout (tornado over water) was spotted on Barnegat Bay between Toms River and Seaside Heights north of the Rt. 37 bridge. pic.twitter.com/SihGJ5Kark
