by Charlie Dwyer

LYNDHURST, NJ – On Tuesday, June 8, at approximately 11am, an elderly resident fell victim to a paving scam by the suspects in the pictures provided above. The resident, who had a planned driveway resurfacing with a local reputable company, was approached by these men who stated that they were ready to begin the work on the driveway.

The suspect wearing the dark colored shirt and gold chain identified himself as “Marion Johnson”, and charged the victim over $4,000. The “work” that they performed also ruined the driveway.

It was learned later when the victim’s daughter contacted the company that was initially hired to do the job informed stated that the suspects were unaffiliated with the business. Please alert your friends and family members of this illegal activity so as to avoid further community members from falling victim to scams such as these.
