Teen arrested for murder of 39-year-old Tayvon Kenan

BALTIMORE, MD – On June 8, 2021, Warrant Apprehension detectives along with the assistance of the US Marshals Taskforce, arrested 19 year-old D’Angelo Woodrum in the 3700 block of Bonview Avenue.

Woodrum was arrested for killing 39-year-old Tayvon Kenan and shooting a 50-year-old male on May 23, 2021, after a dispute. Detectives transported D’Angelo Woodrum to Central Booking Intake Facility where he has been charged with 1st degree murder.

On May 23, 2021, at approximately 2:04 a.m., Northeast District officers were dispatched to the 1500 block of Carswell Street to investigate a reported shooting.

When officers arrived at the scene, they observed a 50-year-old male suffering from gunshot wounds. Also at the location, officers observed an unresponsive, unidentified male suffering from gunshot wounds. Both victims were transported to area hospitals by ambulance.


The unidentified male victim succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead by medical personnel.Homicide detectives responded and assumed control over the investigation. Anyone with information is urged to contact Homicide detectives, at 410-396-2100
