EL PASO, TX – Anything Donald Trump can do, Kamala Harris can do better. Even if that means finally going to the U.S. – Mexico border to witness the Biden Border Crisis firsthand. Today, Harris announced she will visit the border later this week.
Her planned trip comes after she was ravaged by Republicans and the media for previously refusing to visit the border. On June 15th, former U.S. President Donald J. Trump said he accepted an invitation by Texas Governor Greg Abbott to visit the border.
“I have accepted the invitation of Texas Governor Greg Abbott to join him on an official visit to our Nation’s decimated Southern Border on Wednesday, June 30, 2021,” Trump said, taking a jab at the Biden-Harris administration. “The Biden Administration inherited from me the strongest, safest, and most secure border in U.S history and in mere weeks they turned it into the single worst border crisis in U.S history. It’s an unmitigated disaster zone.”
Before that, Harris had a dismal visit to Central America where several key Central American leaders criticized Joe Biden, blaming the new president for the current border crisis.
“Millions of people are pouring through our Border, including many criminals being released from jails, for such crimes as murder, drug smuggling, and human trafficking. In the history of our Country, it has never been more dangerous or worse. They do not have long to act as our Country is being destroyed,” Trump said.
Congressman Jim Jordan today thanked Trump for pressuring the Biden Administration to finally acknowledge the ongoing border crisis.
“Thank you President Trump for getting Vice President Harris to finally go to the southern border. She would never go without you announcing your trip first,” Jordan said.
“After months of ignoring the crisis at the Southern Border, it is great that we got Kamala Harris to finally go and see the tremendous destruction and death that they’ve created—a direct result of Biden ending my very tough but fair Border policies,” Trump said. “Harris and Biden were given the strongest Border in American history. And now, it is by far the worst in American history. If Governor Abbott and I weren’t going there next week, she would have never gone!”
