FAYETTEVILLE, NC – On June 27, 2021, at 07:00 am, Fayetteville Police Department officers were dispatched to a deceased subject along the 3500 block of Doc Bennett Rd. The preliminary investigation has revealed the adult male victim was shot multiple times and was pronounced deceased on scene. His identification is currently being withheld pending next of kin notification. Detectives with the Fayetteville Police Department’s Homicide Unit do not believe it is related to the earlier homicide on School Street. Additional information will be released as it becomes available.
