Three charged for abusing, dumping corpse of woman found in Brown County last week

MIAMI, OH – Miami Township Police have identified Amanda Philpot, 26 of Goshen, Ohio as the body found in Brown County, Ohio. The investigation has revealed that Ms. Philpot died at a residence in the 5900 block of Woodspoint Drive on or about June 17, 2021.

.Once it was discovered that she had died during the overnight hours, the suspects took her body to a wooded area in Brown County and left her. The case will be reviewed by the Clermont County Grand Jury on Thursday, July 1, 2021 for indictment review. The results of the Grand Jury, along with the identity of any charged suspects will be updated via a press release. The preliminary results of the autopsy revealed no signs of trauma.

The manner and cause of death are pending toxicology results.

The Clermont County Grand Jury heard the death case of Amanda Philpot and have indicted the following individuals. They are incarcerated in the Clermont County Jail with the exception of Jeffrey C. Payne, who is being sought.
