LOS ANGELES, CA – Before this week, Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher Trevor Bauer’s biggest concern in life was Major League Baseball’s enforcement of its sticky ball policies. Bauer had been an outspoken opponent against the league implementing the policy mid-season, but today, he finds himself in another sticky situation.
Police investigation photos of the victim alleging Bauer sexually assaulted and beat her after he choked her out during a moment of violent sex have been released. Bauer says the act was consensual, but now, she’s saying it went too far. This week, a judge granted a restraining order against Bauer.
Bauer has been suspended for 7 days by the Dodgers and did not join his team’s trip to the White House to meet with President Joe Biden for their 2020 World Series championship celebration.
A woman who accused Dodgers pitcher, 2020 Cy Young award winner Trevor Bauer of sexual assault said he beat her and choked her out. When she awoke, she claims Bauer was engaged in anal sex with her. TMZ broke this story earlier this week.
Bauer’s lawyers did not deny the incident, which was backed up with photographs and texts between the two, but said the two encounters the couple had were ‘consensual.
Mr. Bauer had a brief and wholly consensual sexual relationship initiated by [the woman] beginning in April 2021. We have messages that show [the woman] repeatedly asking for “rough” sexual encounters involving requests to be “choked out” and slapped in the face. In both of their encounters, [the woman] drove from San Diego to Mr. Bauer’s residence in Pasadena, Calif. where she went on to dictate what she wanted from him sexually and he did what was asked. Following each of her only two meetings with Mr. Bauer, [the woman] spent the night and left without incident, continuing to message Mr. Bauer with friendly and flirtatious banter. In the days following their second and final encounter, [the woman] shared photos of herself and indicated that she had sought medical care for a concussion. Mr. Bauer responded with concern and confusion, and [the woman] was neither angry nor accusatory. Mr. Bauer and [the woman] have not corresponded in over a month and have not seen each other in over six weeks. Her basis for filing a protection order is nonexistent, fraudulent, and deliberately omits key facts, information, and her own relevant communications. Any allegations that the pair’s encounters were not 100°/o consensual are baseless, defamatory, and will be refuted to The fullest extent of the law.

Bauer was placed on a 7 day administrative leave by the Dodgers under the league’s domestic abuse policies and the star said he would not appeal the decision, but said the encounters between himself and the woman were consensual.
