Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia Valdes announces the indictment of Yvette Tripicchio, age 47, of Hawthorne, New Jersey on two counts of theft. Tripicchio is charged in an indictment returned by the Passaic County Grand Jury with Theft in the second degree and Theft by Deception.

The offenses occurred while Tripicchio was employed as a bookkeeper for GSD Industries in Pompton Lakes, New Jersey. Tripicchio unlawfully deposited GSD Industries checks into her personal bank accounts and tampered with company records in an attempt to hide the theft. The amount of the theft exceeded $75,000.

A second-degree offense is punishable by a custodial sentence of between five and ten years in New Jersey State Prison. The investigation was conducted jointly by the Financial Crimes Unit of the Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office and the Pompton Lakes Police Department. A criminal indictment is merely an accusation.

Despite this accusation, the defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt. Passaic County Chief Assistant Prosecutor Jay W. McCann is prosecuting the case against the defendant, and if you have any questions, he may be reached at (973) 837-7616 or jmccann@passaiccountynj.org.
