Watch: Georgia cop shot in the head returns home after three months of rehab and recovery

CARROL COUNTY, GA – Sgt. Rob Halloway, a Carrollton Police officer who was shot in the head during a shootout with a suspect in April has returned home and received a hero’s welcome.

The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office provided mutual aid with an incident that occurred on April 12, 2021, in Carroll County. One suspect’s gunfire resulted in the injuries of three responding law local enforcement officers. Sgt. Rob Holloway of the Carrollton Police Department sustained a gunshot wound to the head and required rehabilitation at the Shepherd Center.

β€œOn behalf of Carroll County 911, all public safety and first responders, and the citizens of Carroll County. We would like to welcome you home. Your bravery and dedication to service will never go unnoticed or unrecognized. Your sacrifice is more appreciated than you will ever be able to imagine. And we have all prayed for your return every single day,” The Georgia Law Enforcement Organization said. “We wish you and your family the best in the days ahead, and we thank you from the bottom of our hearts.”
