TALLAHASSEE, FL – On Friday night, 13-year-old Darius Swain was reported missing by his family. Police searched the area, but came up empty-handed.
Last night, police said Swain’s body had been found.
“The Tallahassee Police Department is currently conducting a death investigation in the 4400 block of West Tennessee Street. One male juvenile was found deceased at midnight. Investigators are working to positively identify the body. At this time, no foul play is suspected. This is an open and active investigation. Updates will be provided as more information becomes available,” the department said.
Swain’s body was found behind a Walmart store at around midnight. He was last seen walking to a nearby Family Dollar store at 2:30 pm on Friday and never returned home.
