Home health aide charged for sexual contact with non-verbal patient

FRANKLIN TWP., N.J. – Somerset County Prosecutor Michael H. Robertson, Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office Chief of County Detectives John W. Fodor and Franklin Township Public Safety Director Quovella M. Spruill announced the arrest of Rose Stanley, age 69, of Hempstead Drive, Somerset, New Jersey in relation to an aggravated criminal sexual contact that occurred in Franklin Township.


Prosecutor Robertson stated that on Tuesday, August 10, 2021 at approximately 3:12 p.m., Franklin Township Police received a phone call concerning a possible sexual contact that occurred involving a non-verbal adult male patient and his home health care aide. Detectives from the Franklin Township Police Department arrived at the victim’s residence to conduct an investigation. As a result of this investigation, Rose Stanley was arrested without incident. Defendant Stanley was working as a Home Health Care aide for a Franklin Township based healthcare company at the time of the assault.


Defendant Stanley was charged with 3rd degree Aggravated Criminal Sexual Contact. Defendant Stanley was lodged in the Somerset County Jail pending a detention hearing.
