DWI woman charged for fatal pedestrian hit and run

GLASSBORO, NJ – Michaela Ferraiolo, 23, of Glassboro, has been charged with one count of second-degree vehicular homicide by operating a vehicle while under the influence of alcohol and one count of second-degree leaving the scene of a fatal accident, in addition to traffic offenses.

On August 19, 2021, at 2:23 am, officers were responding to the area of Blackwood-Clementon Road and Spring Garden Street for a report of an individual lying in the roadway.   On arrival at the scene, officers observed a vehicle traveling from the area at a high rate of speed.  Officers conducted a car stop after they noticed the vehicle had front-end damage.   Ferraiolo was taken into custody.

The victim, David Bonnet, 56, of Gloucester Township, was pronounced deceased at the scene.


Ferraiolo was processed and released under certain conditions pending further court proceedings.
