Al Leiter, John Smoltz refuse COVID-19 vaccine and will no longer appear in-studio on MLB Network

BERKELEY TOWNSHIP, NJ – Berkeley Township Major League Baseball pitching ace Al Leiter, now a sports analyst for Major League Baseball Network joined former MLB ace, John Smoltz, on the studio bench this week.

Both Leiter and Smoltz refused to comply with the network’s policy mandating COVID-19 vaccines. They will get to keep their jobs, but they cannot broadcast from within the MLB studios. The two will broadcast remotely and not from the network’s studios in Secaucus, according to the New York Post.
