President Joe Biden today said the new Texas anti-abortion is “un-American” and contradicted the philosophy and teachings of the Catholic Church.

Biden, a self-proclaimed devout Catholic today said that he disagrees with the principles of the church when it comes to abortion.

“I respect those who believe that life begins at the moment of conception — I don’t agree but I respect that,” Biden said.

The church, for which Biden alleges he is a member of, “Opposes all forms of abortion procedures whose direct purpose is to destroy a zygote, blastocyst, embryo or fetus, since it holds that human life must be respected and protected absolutely from the moment of conception.”

Biden did not say at which point he believes life begins for a human being.

The Texas law however does not ban abortion at conception, but at six weeks when a human heartbeat can be detected for the first time.
