7 shot, two killed on Saturday across Baltimore

BALTIMORE, MD – Yesterday, at least seven people were show and two died in gun violence across Baltimore as the city continues to grapple with rampant crime.

On September 4, 2021, at approximately 12:17 a.m., Southwest District patrol officers were called to the 500 block of South Bentalou Street for a report of a shooting.

Upon officers arrival they located an adult male suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.


The victim was transported to an area hospital where his condition is unknown at this time.

At approximately 1:05 a.m., Northern District patrol officers were called to an area hospital in reference to a walk-in shooting victim.

Once there, officers located a 41 year-old male suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

The victim was very uncooperative and refused to provide investigators with any information.

At approximately 11:19 a.m., Eastern District patrol officers responded to the 2500 block of Biddle Street for a shot spotter alert.

Upon officers arrival, they located a 49 year-old male suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. The victim was transported to an area hospital where he later died.

At approximately 3:21 p.m., Southwest District patrol officers were called to the 4300 block of Edmondson Avenue for a report of a shooting.

Upon officers arrival, they located a 58 year-old male, uncooperative, suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.

At approximately 6:50 p.m., Western District patrol officers were called to the 1700 block of Gwynns Falls Parkway for a Shot Spotter alert.

Once at the location, officers canvased the area and located a 31 year-old male suffering from apparent non life-threatening gunshot wounds in the 2300 block of Orem Avenue.

The victim was transported to an area hospital for treatment.

At approximately 8:14 p.m., Western District patrol officers were called to the 1000 block of Brantley Avenue for a Shot Spotter alert.

Once in the area, officers canvased the location and located a 39 year-old female in the 600 block of North Schroeder Street suffering from non-life threatening gunshot wounds.

At approximately 8:31 p.m., Southwest District patrol officers responded to the 5000 block of Corley Road for a report of a shooting.

Upon officers arrival, they located a 26 year-old male suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

The victim was transported to an area hospital where he later died.
