NORTH PORT, FL – The North Port Police Department is continuing their search for Brian Laundrie, the key suspect in the case involving the death of 22-year-old Long Island woman Gabby Petito.

The search for Brian Laundrie continued Sunday morning in the Carlton Reserve. A team of more than 50 looking for anything of note after his parents say this is where he went.

On Sunday, the search was for both Petito and Laundrie, but the focus switched once local law enforcement received word about the finding of her body in Grand Teton National Park.

“Saddened and heartbroken to learn that Gabby has been found deceased. Our focus from the start, along with the FBI, and national partners, has been to bring her home. We will continue to work with the FBI in the search for more answers,” the North Port Police Department said.

If you have any information on the case or have spotted Laundrie, police ask you to call 1-800-CALL-FBI.
