TRENTON, NJ – The debate between Democrat New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy and his opponent, establishment Republican Jack Ciattarelli got heated last night when Murphy assaulted Ciattarelli for attending a pro-Trump “Stop the Steal Rally”.

“These people died, assemblyman, People died!” Murphy exclaimed of the January 6th uprising.

“You mean like the people in the nursing homes and Tropical Storm Ida,” Ciattarelli responded.

Phil Murphy’s administration is under investigation by the U.S. Department of Justice for the deaths of an estimated 7,000 senior citizens who were forced back into nursing homes while still testing positive for COVID-19. That action by the Murphy administration is being blamed for the large outbreaks of COVID-19 and COVID-19 related deaths.

In September, Murphy was criticized for a slow response to the dangers of Tropical Storm Ida, issuing a state of emergency thirteen hours after neighboring Pennsylvania. As many as 30 people died as a result of flash flooding.

Murphy holds a double-digit lead over Ciattarelli in the latest Monmouth University poll.
