We’re not sure if Dem’s new anti-De Santis commercial is a hit piece or an endorsement

A new commercial named “Florever Purge” produced and paid for by the Remove Ron political committee is getting a lot of attention this week and probably not for the reason “Grim Reaper” lawyer Daniel Uhlfelder expected.

The video, a mockumentary of “The Purge” starts with an airline full of passengers arriving in Florida and being shown a warning video about Governor Ron De Santis and his COVID-19 policies. The video’s intent is to demonize the governor but overall comes out as an endorsement of the governor in a commercial of quality that his own campaign might even consider using for themselves.

In the commercial, clips of De Santis and his pro-medical choice and personal freedom agenda is on display as a horrifying notion, incomprehensible apparently to the left.

The commercial ends with the narrator telling Floridians and visitors, “Don’t breath in!”

It’s not certain after watching whether the end result of this commercial is a hit job on the governor or an endorsement of his policy. The message by the Remove Ron PAC has seemingly backfired as De Santis followers and Republicans don’t even disapprove of the ad’s content and are mass sharing it on social media.

“This reminds me of my recent flight back from CA to FL, and my complete and utter relief at being in a state where the governor says things like “We trust people to make their own decisions in this state.” Honestly, did Ron DeSantis write this commercial?” conservative media host Ben Shapiro said.

Conservative active Matt Walsh responded, “I like DeSantis even more now. Thanks for this.”
