Dumas captured in stolen vehicle after attempting to flee police at traffic stop

OKALOOSA COUNTY, FL – After the pursuit of a stolen vehicle reported out of Okaloosa County, Isaac Dumas, 21, of Fort Walton Beach is in custody tonight.

The stolen SUV was spotted in the area of Bob Sikes Road in Walton County. When deputies attempted a traffic stop, Dumas fled and ditched the Range Rover in a field near Mitchem Road. Dumas was tracked by Walton CI and WCSO K-9 teams and later captured on Interstate 10 near the Bob Sikes overpass. In addition to the recovery of the stolen SUV, Walton County Sheriff’s Office has also recovered a stolen firearm from inside the vehicle.
