COLUMBUS, OH – On August 25, 2021, at 4:15pm, officers were dispatched to the Sunoco at 5800 Cleveland Ave. on a report of someone shot. Additional calls stated the shooting victim got into a white vehicle. The victim and vehicle were not at the scene when officers arrived.
Around 4:21 pm a call was received stating a male was shot and on the porch of an apartment in the area of Arborwood Ct. and Arborwood Dr. The caller stated a group of younger males dropped the victim off on the porch and fled the area after knocking.
Officers arrived on the scene and located a juvenile victim suffering from a single gunshot wound to his right leg. Responding officers & detectives and determined this to be the shooting victim from 5800 Cleveland Ave. Detectives obtained video footage of the incident from 5800 Cleveland Ave. and were able to positively identify the shooting suspect and he was charged with Felonious Assault.
