Two shot and killed in home invasion in Fayetteville

FAYETTEVILLE, NC – Detectives with the Fayetteville Police Department’s Homicide Unit are continuing to investigate the homicides that occurred Saturday evening along the 6500 block of Brookstone Lane.

The preliminary investigation has revealed that two subjects were shot and killed after forcing entry into the residence.

At 5:09 pm, officers with the Fayetteville Police Department were dispatched to reports of a residential break in along the 6500 block of Brookstone Lane. While en route, the officers were updated that two subjects had been shot inside the residence by a male caller who advised that he had shot two subjects that had broken into his residence.


The Homicide Unit cannot confirm if this was a random act or if anyone else was involved at this time.
