FORT WASHINGTON, MARYLAND – Working your way through multiple puzzles on the $100,000 Crossword scratch-off to see if you won a prize is the perfect challenge for many Maryland Lottery players. A Fort Washington resident recently found his way to a $100,000 top-prize win on the 5th Edition of the $10 game.

The Prince George’s County man found his lucky ticket at Thirsty’s Wine & Spirits in Oxon Hill. Players scratch off all of the “Your Letters” area to reveal 20 letters and then scratch off those same letters in Puzzles 1-3. If they end up with three or more complete words in any single puzzle, they win the corresponding prize found in that puzzle’s “Prize Legend.” The game also has four “Bonus Words” to give players extra chances to win.

Our winner was able to form 10 words in one his puzzles, and was the second person to claim a top prize in the game, leaving five more $100,000 prizes to be claimed. Also up for grabs are 17 $10,000 prizes and 27 $1,000 prizes.

The lucky Lottery retailer, Thirsty’s Wine & Spirits, also has reason to celebrate. The retailer located at 6191 Oxon Hill Road earns a $1,000 bonus from the Lottery for selling a top-prize winning scratch-off with a prize of $100,000.
