BOSTON, MASSACHUSETTS – On November 4, 2021, the C-6, B-2, and C-11 Drug Control Units executed multiple search warrants resulting in the arrest of Luis Aybar-Ruiz, 32, of Hyde Park, and Oscar Baez, 28, of Jamaica Plain.
As part of this investigation, Officers were granted search warrants for 86 Crown Point Drive, Hyde Park, the respective persons of BAEZ and AYBAR-RUIZ, and two associated motor vehicles. Following the execution of the above search warrants, and based on information gathered during the investigation, members of the Drug Control Unit sought, and were granted, a search warrant for an additional address of 225 Centre St. The warrant was issued out of West Roxbury District Court.
Officers located and seized approximately 270 grams of fentanyl and recovered over $30,000 in United States Currency. Aybar-Ruiz and Baez are charged with Trafficking of a Controlled Substance and are expected to be arraigned in West Roxbury District Court.
