SUMTER, SC – Sumter County investigators charged a mother and daughter with the distribution of meth. The Sumter County Sheriff’s Office issued the following release:

Sumter County investigators seized methamphetamines, drug paraphernalia and made two arrest while executing a search warrant at a residence on Sawgrass Court on November 4.

The investigation into illegal activity at this residence stemmed from citizen complaints.

Tabatha Ann Browder, 37, of Sawgrass Court, is charged with possession of methamphetamines, less than one gram; and Theresa Ann Browder, 58, of Sawgrass Court, is charged with two counts of distribution of methamphetamines and one count of possession with intent to distribute methamphetamines.

During the search, investigators seized 2.1 grams of methamphetamines with an estimated value of $105 and drug paraphernalia.

Tabatha Browder and Theresa Browder were transported to Sumter County Sheriff’s Office Detention Center and they were both released on Nov. 5. Tabatha Browder was released on a personal recognizance bond and Theresa Browder’s bond was set at $7,500 per charge.

“We investigate all complaints of illegal activity in Sumter County, no matter how little we seize during a search warrant. Narcotics distribution and use makes people feel unsafe in their neighborhoods and we are working hard to reverse that,” Sheriff Anthony Dennis said.
