McKeesport, PA – The Allegheny County Police Department’s Homicide Unit responded to a request for assistance in McKeesport.
At approximately 3:23 PM on November 19, 2021, County 9-1-1 was notified of a stabbing in the 500 block of Sinclair Street. First responders found an adult male victim suffering from a stab wound to the chest. He was transported to an area hospital and is in critical condition. Homicide detectives initiated an investigation.
The adult male victim died while undergoing life saving measures at an area hospital. He was pronounced deceased at 4:46 p.m.
Through the course of the investigation it was determined that 15-year-old Damian Baverso was the person responsible for the homicide. An arrest warrant has been issued for Baverso charging him with criminal homicide. Baverso is described as a white male, approximately 5’8” in height and thin build. Baverso is known to frequent the McKeesport, Oakmont and West Mifflin areas. Anyone sighting Baverso should call 9-1-1 immediately. On November 22, 2021, Baverso was apprehended by Oakmont Police. Baverso is currently in the Allegheny County Jail.
